What are Mark’s available appointment times*?

How long do appointments generally last?
Appointment duration varies and can depend on whether the appointment is in-person or by phone, as well as if it is an initial “get to know you” appointment. For initial “get to know you” in-person appointments, it may take two hours. For initial “get to know you” phone appointments, it may take an hour. After the initial “get to know you” appointment, in-person appointments may last an hour and phone appointments may last thirty minutes.
What are typical turnaround times for withdrawals?
Requests must be received by 3:00pm EST to be eligible for same day completion. Turnaround times vary depending on the time of day the request is received, as well as the format for disbursement of funds. Once we have received your request, the following turnaround times are generally expected: (1) Check by mail: 7-10 business days; (2) Electronic Funds Transfer via Automated Clearing House (ACH): 3-5 business days; (3) Overnighted by mail: 2 business days (after trades have been settled); (4) Bank wire: 1-2 business days (Fees apply, and the amount can vary. The fee for single domestic wire transfers to your bank can be as much as $15. Your bank may also charge a fee for receiving the transfer.)
What costs are associated with an appointment with Mark?
The services we provide prior to a business agreement are complimentary and part of our effort to better serve you. This includes preliminary consultations with an Investment Advisor Representative (in-person, phone, email, Skype…), analysis preparation and associated reports/proposals. Fees and expenses for services are incurred ONLY if you choose to do business with us and vary based on recommendations and products proposed. We will disclose and define up-front costs and/or recurring management fees prior to your decision. Fee-based financial planning is offered through Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. a Registered Investment Advisor.
How do I add or change beneficiaries?
To add or change beneficiaries, please call us and request a form that we will help you complete. Once completed and returned to us, we will submit the information to the fund company.
How do I transfer money online between my bank and my account?
To transfer money online between your bank and your account with us, you must fill out an ACH Authorization form and return it to us. We will submit the form to the fund company. This links your bank account to your investment account for deposit or withdrawal. After the link is established, you may deposit or withdraw money with a phone call to us, or we can set up a monthly draft for the same amount on the same day to deposit into your account.
How do I withdraw from my 529 to pay for college?
When you want to withdraw money (take a distribution) from your 529 account, simply fill out the form we provide to you and return it to us. We’ll handle the rest.
How do I get my tax paperwork?
Each fund company sends out its own paperwork. That paperwork is sent out at different times, but each should comply with the deadlines set up by the IRS, which is Feb 15th. Additionally, you always have access to your account online, where you can print the necessary information. And of course, you can always call us, and we can provide the necessary information.

Who will work with me?
Mark has administrative (non-registered) support, including a Sales Assistant (Heather Buvalla), Service Assistant (Ginger Queen and Kristi Sanders), and a Computer Operator (Debby Sadler).
Will those same individuals review my financial situation?
Mark’s administrative staff can view all client accounts, but face to face and/or phone appointment reviews including recommended actions and proposals for business, will be performed and executed by Mark.

Mark is part of Athens BNI (Business Networking International) that shares referrals to other reputable, local businesses. It is possible that Mark may refer you to another business*, but he is not compensated for this. *Please note that we will ALWAYS ask and OBTAIN permission from you before sharing your contact information with another business or anyone else. It is also possible for other businesses to send referrals to Mark as well, though they receive no compensation from Mark for doing so.
